I'm Hemorrhaging!

So....got my period for the first time today since before I got preggo, so more than a year and a half without that crap. I was so confused, thought i was like hemorrhaging from somewhere and dying~ Ryan is clearly rubbing off on me, jumping to the worst case health scenario. hahha! I TOTALLY forgot that happened! I was the 1st one at work of coarse and had to find someone to get something STAT. Only person i could find was my dear may co-worker mitch (he's a nurse so he's got to be used to this stuff right??!  I was low on options ok....), he called the ER and found me something b/c no one else was here yet. I was in luck, they had something and so the obvious solution was to tube me down a tampon, not the usually medical records that come through the tube station ha! And to top it off they wrote on the wrapper of the tampon, MITCH. soo funny! Good thing i'm not easily embarrassed! Oh the joys of working in a hospital and being a woman!

Nashville Heart Walk 2010

Total Donations for the Nashville American Heart Association Walk on October 2nd came to $1,151,069.  Yay!!  So glad that we could be a part of this!

With the funds raised with this year's walk/campaign the American Heart Association aims for: Improving patient care, Advocating for better health, Reaching out to populations at risk, Raising awareness, Protecting the future and Educating Americans.

Makeover Monday

For this weeks makeover I added chocolate brown rosettes to a grey ribbed tank :)

In addition I am displaying a wall hanging filled with lots of beachy treats!  I found two old type writer drawers being thrown away!! Can you believe that nonsenseicalness??  One mans trash is another woman's treasure!!  I knew this toad could become a prince with just a touch of elbow grease!  And so I set to work, first I took a razor blade and a hammer and resized several of the compartments to fit my assorted starfish and shells. You see I had been collected all the beautiful sea paraphernalia for almost a year awaiting the right time/craft to use it!  Then once I sized the holes I glued in the sea stuff.  And here is the final product in all of his glory!  Love it!

Sweet Euphoria ~ Fall Cake

Look at this CAKE people!! 

This cake is delectable birthday present from my wonderful sis-in-law Erin, at SWEET EUPHORIA DESSERTS!  She is one amazing bakist!  Think i just made up a word.  Talk about falling in love with Fall!  Look at those leaves, and topped with the elegant "P" in all of its glory.  Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but what lies beneath the stunning facade is a spice cake with some super sugary cinnamon frosting that will knock your socks off!  Well done my firend, well done!  Check her out on facebook or on tumblr.
