thirteen point one

Took a girls trip to Indy this past weekend to run a 1/2 marthon.  For those of you who don't know that is 13.1 miles!  I finished in less then 3 hrs, which was my goal, 2 hrs and 49 minutes to be exact.  Check a few things off my to-do list in one shot!  Traveled to Indianapolis and ran a 1/2 marathon.  It was no record setting speed, but I finished and did it in less than 3 which was my goal :)  And best of all we are giving back, specifically to the Community Health Network.  Yay for Non-profits and encouraging good health!  Here is some documentation from our trip for your enjoyment!

Halloween Pamcakes

So fun creating cupcakes, especially when there is competition involved!   Jodi had a friendly baking competition at work and I was asked to help her.  So of coarse I jumped at that op!

Pics for your enjoyment :)

Makeover Monday

I'm spent from being out of town and from running the 1/2 Marathon in Indy this weekend so it's a little short, but still had to share!

For this weeks feature we have a fab fall ensemble!  Found the 2XL skirt at Goodwill for $3.  Loved the fabric so I just couldn't pass it up!  I turned the  floor length G-ma skirt into a broach with pearls and a  small high waisted mini skirt.  I cut about 3 feet off the bottom and hemmed it (so I had lots of fabric to do fun things with, to which I concocted the broach).  I put 4 darts in the back of the skirt to make it fitted.

Here is a close up pic of the broach:

And a pic of me donning the skirt at Saturday Brunch with the peanut in my arms :)  Love my tall BCBG boots, one of my obsessions.

Til next time xxooxxoo

Product Shoot

So my sweet little neighbor Reagan and my bff Jodi volunteered to model some of my products for me.  They are both so beautiful I just had to post some of these pics!

And these cowls (aka infinity scarfs or neck warmers) that Jodi is donning are sooo perfect for Fall!

Makeover Monday

For this weeks Makeover we have 1 fashion makeover and 1 home decor makeover!  Enjoy!!

Turned this goodwill dress born circa 1982 into an Urban Outfitters/Anthro classic!   And the beautiful Jodi to model the dime piece.  Enjoy:

Close up of the gem, a beautiful navy with fall florals. Goes perfectly with the handcrafted feathered barrette :)  Don't forget to check out my Etsy!!

And now Decor & More!

A fall wreath made of some twiggy's from my yard, some ribbon and fake leaves I had laying around from other projects and a wood "M" I got at the craft store for $2.  Total cost, $2, gotta love that!  Love this gem.

Saturday Brunch

In an effort to have more quality family time and to 'get to know' our wonderful city of Nashville we have started a new tradition. Saturday brunch. Ryan and I, being the homebodies that we are, rarely experience the amazing Music City that is within our grasp, and so we are venturing out, we’ll at least once a week we are! And since we are such food connoisseurs we will rate the restaurants from 1-10 (10 being simply stupendous, mouthwatering and delectable to our tasty buds).

We started off our new ritual in EdgeHill on 12th Ave S. at the Frothy Monkey. Over all we rate it a whopping 8. We each had bagel sandwiches and Wyndham was bestowed a biscuit to which she completely destroyed then dumped her plate over. Huge mess but at least she was entertained and enjoyed the activity!
