Makeover Monday {old tank + old curtian= new dress}

Had this tank top that was from circa 1999 and is somewhat a belly shirt. To be honest I'm not into tank topping around with my midriff hanging out so I opted to make it into something because Lord knows I can't throw anything away--issues i know....

So I attached this lovely fabric {which happen to be an old curtian I had laying around} to the bottom.  I made 3 belt loops out of the left over fabric from the tank top.

Also donned in the photos is an anthropologie necklace and a thrifted navy belt.  Thanks Jodi for your lovely modeling skills :)

Embellished Dress {to hide a stain tehe}

I love hand me downs, so great for kids who out grow clothes SOOOO QUICKLY!  Wyndham got this hand me down cute Nautica dress, which will fit her perfect for spring.  However there was a huge stain around the buttons right about here:

So I embellished it with a little bit of lace around the collar, and it's good as new.  Actually I like it better now, so better than new!  Love how the hot pink lace matches the little Nautica tag by the mini chest pocket :) :)

Thifty momma hard at work here :)

More Poncho Love :)

Sold a few more of these this month!  Apparently the Royal Blue and Black Giant print houndstooth was a hit this winter!  Which means I am currently out of this fabric...but have plenty more to choose from! Yay for Ponchos!

The Traditional Poncho

Another New Creation, I call it the Traditional Poncho! Tweed Rectangle Poncho with a cowl neck collar and ruffel off-centered to the left. Inspiration for this one came from yet another magizine which was a mock on off the traditional mexican ponchos.  Here is a sample of the Vogue's Perfect Poncho , somewhat similar mine.  Maybe I should design for Vogue, hahhaha!
What do you think of her?

Monday Makeover

Monday Makeover being posted on Wednesday Thursday, haha!  Like i've said before, my blog, my way!  I have felt a little under the weather so I just have not been able to post--more on that later.
For this weeks makeover I made another Poncho Love!  For this one I opted for a royal blue/black giant houndstooth.  And rather than the cowl neck as the others had, this one has an off centered bow tie collar.  What do you think?

Thanks for modeling yet again Jodi! Beautiful as always :)
